Thank you to all the volunteers that came out and helped continue to work towards opening this beautiful new trail. We managed to fell, clean up, haul out, plant and mark seven cedar trail marker posts on the south field by the parking area. We also brushed and cleared 500 feet of new trail inside the hedgerow on the left of the field. And finally, we added trail markers from the parking area on Benton Hill Road, down one mile to and around the small pond loop. Next up is the large 1.5 mile loop and the route 343 entrance, as well as some log stairs, stream crossing work, drainage work, trail benching, and maybe a few nice cedar benches.
