Lauren Murtagh, a Sharon resident and Junior at HVRHS participated in the Natural Resource Conservation Academy at UConn (Storrs campus) over the summer. As part of the program, she has worked on a seven month community awareness project on invasive species and the proper control methods. The Sharon Land Trust is proud to be her community partner for the project and we have really enjoyed Lauren’s drive and commitment to this important cause. She will present her project and its findings in March at Uconn and we will keep you posted.
