Sharon Land Trust volunteer work days are a great way to give back, and enjoy a fun morning of good work for any ability with great people.  Can you help?  Interested volunteers will need to prepare for work by dressing weather appropriately, wearing work pants and solid boots, and bringing gloves if they have them.  The land trust will provide gloves if they don’t.  No experience is required for this work, and the land trust will give a tailgate safety talk beforehand and training in the field.  Please register as a volunteer if you haven’t already.  Take a look at our trailwork resources page for more information. We’ll break for a nice lunch at a beautiful spot at the end of each work morning for anyone interested. Email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org to sign up.

Volunteer Work Day: Benton Hill Preserve

April 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join our Stewardship Director, Tim Hunter, and Land Steward, Sophie Lake-Ginouves, on our beautiful Benton Hill Preserve for a fun morning of trail maintenance. Our main focus will be improving trail drainage, some light brush clean up, clearing downed trees (only if you are comfortable and experienced with chainsaws). This hike is considered easy. Volunteer days are a great way to meet cool people, get some exercise, and do some good for our trails–no previous experience required!

  • Thursday, April 30
  • 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • 40 Benton Hill Rd

Email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org if you are interested in joining us or if you have any questions. Not yet registered as a volunteer? Use this link to register.

We hope to see you there!
