Sharon Land Trust volunteer work days are a great way to give back, and enjoy a fun morning of good work for any ability with great people.  Can you help?  Interested volunteers will need to prepare for work by dressing weather appropriately, wearing work pants and solid boots, and bringing gloves if they have them.  The land trust will provide gloves if they don’t.  No experience is required for this work, and the land trust will give a tailgate safety talk beforehand and training in the field.  Please register as a volunteer if you haven’t already.  Take a look at our trailwork resources page for more information. We’ll break for a nice lunch at a beautiful spot at the end of each work morning for anyone interested. Email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org to sign up.

Volunteer Trail Clean-Up: Mary Moore Preserve

April 9 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join our Stewardship Director, Tim Hunter, and Land Steward, Sophie Lake-Ginouves, on our beautiful Mary Moore Preserve for a fun morning of spring trail maintenance. Volunteers can help with a number of projects including pruning overgrowth, cleaning drainage ditches, and, if you are comfortable and experienced, chainsawing fallen trees. Volunteer days are a great way to meet cool people, get some exercise, and do some good for our trails–no previous experience required!

  • Thursday, April 9
  • 10:00am to 12:00pm
  • 24 Williams Rd

Email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org if you are interested in joining us or if you have any questions. Not yet registered as a volunteer? Use this link to register.

We hope to see you there!
