Sharon Land Trust volunteer work days are a great way to give back, and enjoy a fun morning of good work for any ability with great people.  Can you help?  Interested volunteers will need to prepare for work by dressing weather appropriately, wearing work pants and solid boots, and bringing gloves if they have them.  The land trust will provide gloves if they don’t.  No experience is required for this work, and the land trust will give a tailgate safety talk beforehand and training in the field.  Please register as a volunteer if you haven’t already.  Take a look at our trailwork resources page for more information. We’ll break for a nice lunch at a beautiful spot at the end of each work morning for anyone interested. Email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org to sign up.

Volunteer Invasive Plant Management: Hamlin Preserve

October 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join our stewardship team of staff and volunteers at our Hamlin Preserve to continue tackling invasive plants that threaten the ecological integrity of our local ecosystems. Hamlin is the site of our largest invasive management project to date, but the work still continues. The focus during this outing will be on bittersweet vines that are choking a red cedar stand by a beautiful little pond. Volunteer outings like this one are great opportunities to meet new people, learn about invasive plant management, and do good for our native flora and fauna.

  • Where: Hamlin Preserve, 19 Stone House Rd
  • Time: 10 AM – 12 PM
  • Date: Tuesday, October 20th

If you are interested in joining us, please email timhunter@sharonlandtrust.org. Not yet registered as a volunteer? Sign up here!
