Sharon Land Trust volunteer work days are a great way to give back, and enjoy a fun morning of good work for any ability with great people. Can you help? Interested volunteers will need to prepare for work by dressing weather appropriately, wearing work pants and solid boots, and bringing gloves if they have them. The land trust will provide gloves if they don’t. No experience is required for this work, and the land trust will give a tailgate safety talk beforehand and training in the field. Goodbody Preserve Housatonic Heritage Hike

Join Tim Hunter, our Stewardship Director, as we hike this 188 acre preserve as part of the 2024 Housatonic Heritage Walks. The hike offers spectacular views of the Sharon Valley and Indian Lake. Parts of this hike are steep, as the trail gains elevation of 1,065 feet. For intermediate to advanced hikers. 2 hours–2.5 miles

Where to meet: Join us at the trailhead, at 140 Millerton Road (Rt 361), Sharon, CT (0.6 mile south of Dakin Road). Parking is at the top of a short, but steep, drive up to a farm field parking area. GPS 41.904849, -73.491425
