WANDERING, DUSK
by Jeff Joyce
Created especially in support of the Sharon Land Trust, Wandering, Dusk evokes the tranquility of day’s end and honors the timeless connection between art and the natural world.
The trees and clouds are rendered in tones of translucent gray against a light, gray ground, creating a shifting sense of space and perspective. An homage to the peace of a winter evening lit by the early setting of a hidden sun, Joyce has described his intention as creating the pictorial equivalent of a “gray hum.”
