Invasives Walk and Talk

On August 29th The Sharon Land Trust did an Invasives Walk and Talk at the Mary Moore Preserve with board members and monitors. We focused our efforts on a large tree on a wood road that was being strangled by bittersweet. The vines were cut and treated and will soon fall out of the high branches.

Upon investigation by Tom Zetterstrom, SLT discovered that the tree is an Chinkapin Oak. The identification was confirmed on September 24th by Lukas Hyder and Keith Cudworth!
